This Privacy Policy explains what data NearByCollab ("we", "us") collects when you use nearbycollab.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to Brands, Creators and visitors alike.
If you choose "Continue with Google", we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google to create or sign you into your NearByCollab account. We do not receive or store your Google password, and we only request the minimum scopes needed for authentication. You can review or revoke NearByCollab's access at any time from your Google Account permissions page.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
An approved Creator profile (name, photo, handle, stats, bio, price range, city/locality) is public and indexable by search engines. Your email address, password and precise contact details are never shown publicly — they are only visible to NearByCollab and, once a collaboration is accepted, to the other party if you choose to share them directly (e.g. over WhatsApp).
We use local/session storage to keep you signed in and to remember UTM campaign parameters for attribution. Once an analytics destination (e.g. Google Analytics 4) is enabled, it may set its own cookies to measure page views and events; you can opt out using your browser's do-not-track or cookie settings, or tools such as the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
Data is stored with our database provider (Supabase) using row-level security so that private data (drafts, collaboration briefs, roles) is only readable by the account owner or an administrator. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
We retain account and profile data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove or anonymise your profile and personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to keep records for legal, safety or dispute-resolution purposes (for example, an open abuse report).
You can access, correct or delete most of your data directly from your dashboard. You can also email privacy@nearbycollab.com to request a copy of your data, ask us to delete it, or object to a particular use, and we will respond within a reasonable time.
NearByCollab is not directed at children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Platform evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
